The PG1301 is a multi-channel high-performance transmitter/receiver designed to simultaneously receive several LoRa packets using random spreading factors on random channels.

The Dragino RS485-LN is an RS485 to LoRaWAN Converter. It converts the RS485 devices into LoRaWAN wireless network which simplifies the IoT installation and reduces the installation/maintaining cost.

RS485-LN allows the user to monitor/control RS485 devices and reach extremely long ranges. It provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption. It targets professional wireless sensor network applications such as irrigation systems, smart metering, smart cities, smartphone detection, building automation, and so on.

For data uplink: RS485-LN sends user-defined commands to RS485 devices and get the return from the RS485 devices. RS485-LN will process these returns according to the user-define rule to get the final payload to upload to the LoRaWAN server.

For data downlink: RS485-LN runs in LoRaWAN Class C. When there downlink commands from the LoRaWAN server, RS485-LN will forward the commands from LoRaWAN server to RS485 devices.

Description

The PG1301 is a multi-channel high-performance transmitter/receiver designed to simultaneously receive several LoRa packets using random spreading factors on random channels. Its goal is to enable the robust connection between a central wireless data concentrator and a massive amount of wireless end-points spread over a very wide range of distances.

The PG1301 is based on SX1301 + 2 x 1257, it is designed to use with Raspberry Pi to build smart metering fixed networks and Internet of Things applications with up to 5000 nodes per km2 in the moderately interfered environment.

PG1301 has a built-in GPS module. The GPS module provides timing to SX1301 for accurate timing and can provide geographical coordinates to RPi for further process.
